Rob was born in the United States and moved to Canada in 2014. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Youth Ministries from Eastern University, and his Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. In 2020, he earned a PhD in Religious Studies from McMaster University. Rob was recently ordained to the deaconate in the Diocese of Niagara, and has served as the Assistant Curate at Christ's Church Cathedral since October of 2021. He continues to teach university courses at McMaster and elsewhere, write academic and popular-level articles on religion and culture, and volunteer with Indwell, an affordable and supportive housing charity based in Hamilton, ON.
Our staff have returned to working at the Cathedral with admin staff currently available Monday through Thursday from 9am to 12pm. Clergy office hours vary, however, all staff members can be reached by email or by leaving a phone message.
We acknowledge that we gather on the lands occupied by the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe nations at the time of the creation of the "Dish With One Spoon" wampum agreement. We honour and respect these nations and commit ourselves to walk together gently upon this land.
