Cathedral Offertory
The Cathedral will resume the passing of Offering Plates at the service on December 24. The plates will be passed by the Greeters and brought to the altar with the elements. You may recall this was suspended at the beginning of the pandemic, when there was uncertainty about how the virus was spread, and replaced by a box near the Narthex. At the Offertory, we offer back some of what God has given us, symbolically in the bread and wine, and in our contributions toward the work of the church. All are invited to support the sharing of God’s love with the world through giving by Pre-Authorized Payment, online through our website (for details, please use link below) or by weekly envelope. For more infomation visit:

Follow-up to the Dean’s Christmas Letter
Earlier this month you picked up Dean Tim’s Christmas 2022 letter or it was mailed to you. Even so, we want to ask you to consider the ministries of Christ’s Church Cathedral when giving gifts this year. The generosity of so many, keeps our programs up and running. Without your help it becomes more challenging for us to be a welcoming place of worship, learning, and refuge. How will you help the ministries of your Cathedral flourish? |
Tax Receipt Deadline for 2022
Please note that donations eligible for a 2022 tax receipt must be either post-marked or delivered to our office by no later than December 31, 2022. Our sincere thanks for your generous donations of your time, talent, and treasure throughout 2022. Merry Christmas and may God always be with you!

PWRDFBlessings at Christmas and for 2023 During 2022, PWRDF and its partners have worked together for a better world. A world where all may live with food, water, shelter, safety, equality, and a cared for environment. They have striven for goals that will sustain humanity and our planet. Thank you to everyone in our parish who has supported PWRDF and its partners in these initiatives during 2022. May you have the gift of faith, the blessing of hope, and the peace of His love at Christmas and always. Your PWRDF Parish Representative Louise van Woelderen |
Masks Strongly Recommended
Current guidelines encourage mask wearing, particularly in crowded, enclosed, and close-contact settings. Effective immediately, Bishop Susan is strengthening guidance to mirror the chief medical officer of health's strong recommendation that masks be worn in indoor settings. By doing so, and applying additional layers of protection, we will not only protect ourselves but our most vulnerable neighbours. In this way, we are also bearing strong witness to God's call to love our neighbours. |
Cathedral Café
Cathedral Café volunteers are looking for a 4 (ideally) or 2 slice toaster for the Myler Hall Kitchen in order to offer toast and bagels to guests at the Cathedral Café—a warm option on cold days. We are also looking for new underwear, both men's and women's in S, M, L and XL as well as men’s sweaters in small, medium, large, and plus sizes. |
